New Delhi: Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) has launched its global programme for Young Leaders of the industry in India. The programme, which aspires to enlist young leaders and connect them with the global industry and the best practices followed, will be open for people below the age of 35, with less than five years of industry experience. The India programme was launched in New Delhi under the aegis of Nitin Sachdeva, the co-Chair for Global Young Leader Programme of SITE, the global association for Incentive Travel industry. Around 30 young leaders from the travel industry attended the launch event.

Sachdeva, who is the first Asian to be appointed as the Co-chair of the Global programme of SITE, said, “The programme intends to get the next generation of leaders into the fold and expose them to the global best practices and grow their business vistas through connections and relationships with around 2,000 members of SITE spread across 88 countries. Every SITE chapter has a mandate to create Young Leader Programme.”

He said that a Board has been constituted with three members and the next step is to set up a committee to steer the activities forward. Predominantly an association of Incentive Travel industry stakeholders of the US, SITE opened India Chapter 10 years ago.
