Mumbai: After the tremendous success of the maiden edition of GPS, christened Telangana Tourism Conclave, which saw over 150 products, 1200 registered visitors and more than 10,000 B2B meetings, Global Panorama Showcase (GPS) is moving to Chandigarh, Ahmedabad and Lucknow in July.
The purpose of the event is to educate and empower the travel fraternity in Tier II and III cities
and the content is tailored to address basic pain points
The Chandigarh event will be held from July 5 to 7 at The Lalit; GPS Ahmedabad from July 12 to 14 at Courtyard Marriott; and GPS Lucknow from July 19 to 21 at Hyatt Regency. This will be the franchise’s entry into Uttar Pradesh (UP) and the aim is to reach out to not just the UP market but adjoining regions like Bihar, Uttarakhand and Jharkand.
“As always, there would be about 75+ exhibitors and not less than 900 registered visitors per event. We have a fixed format and the event runs over a 3-day period with first day set aside exclusively for product presentations and education and the remaining two days for B2B meetings. The exhibitors will be a mix of tourism boards, airlines, DMCs and ancillary services related to the travel trade,” informs Harmandeep Singh Anand, Managing Director, GPS.
The purpose of the event is to educate and empower the travel fraternity in Tier II and III cities. And the presentations and discussions are not highbrow but tailored to address grassroots-level pain points like GST, which are essential for survival and success. GPS has tied up with taxation expert CA Manish Gadia, partner, GMJ & Co. for the sessions on GST.
The Chandigarh event will witness product presentations by UKVI and Visit Britain, Amigo Travels, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir, Genting Cruise Lines, Interglobe Technology Quotient and Rainbow CTM. At Ahmedabad, Genting Cruise Lines, FXKart, Travcare, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir, Sahibji Group of Companies, Red Tours, Mazda Travels, Amigo Travels and Prevoyance Cyber Forensic will present sessions.
At the Lucknow leg of GPS, Amigo Travels, Prevoyance Cyber Forensic, Genting Cruise Lines, FXKart, Travcare, Sahibji Group of Companies, Red Tours and Mazda Travels have signed up for presentations. Sessions on GST by CA Manish Gadia will be a common feature for all three GPS events in July.
“For buyers and sellers in Tier II and III markets, GPS offers a big advantage – they can more comfortably do their business meetings closer home than travelling to other big cities incurring extra cost. This makes a lot of difference to them and results in better outcome,” says Ankush Nijhawan, Executive Director, GPS.
GPS is unique in the sense it is a green event with no brochures or calling cards. The GPS App connects buyers, sellers, visitors and organisers. From delegate registration to scheduling meetings, making connections to tracking programme agenda, accessing sales brochures to social updates – it is all on the App.
