London: Kerala Tourism bagged gold at WTM’s International Travel & Tourism Awards on November 6, the second day of the global travel trade event. Kerala’s Minister of Tourism, Kadakampally Surendran and Tourism Secretary Rani George IAS received the award. The prestigious awards ceremony was held at London’s Tobacco Dock where 500-plus travel professionals who attended cheered on for winners.
The International Travel & Tourism Awards in association with WTM London, made its debut this year at London’s Tobacco Dock. The awards are a platform to honour the front-runners in travel and tourism across 13 categories. Winnders are selected by an independent panel of judges. Every judge is a prominent member of the travel community, with years of experience.
Kerala has been on a resurgent note after it affected by floods in August that affected many parts of the state. Kerala Tourism won a slew of national tourism awards at a prestigious event held in New Delhi in September.
