DRMumbai: In a unique initiative aimed at creating greater awareness on rail travel across Europe, Rail Europe India will conduct a two-month-long Rail Expert Program from October 1, 2018. Kunal Kothari, Regional Manager, South Asia, Rail Europe, said, “Our Swiss Travel Pass SuperStar Program (STPSP) aimed at encouraging the retail travel consultants to promote and sell the Swiss Travel Passes has been a huge success.
Taking a cue from this, we are launching this new program. Moreover, a lot of travel agents and tour operators wanted us to organise something on these lines as we have been doing a lot of presentations in India on rail travel across Europe.” The contest will have eight modules with 10 questions in each module.
The website – www.railexpertindia.com – will go live from October 1. Those interested can register and take part in the quiz. One module will open every week. In all, there will be 16-18 winners. 10 winners will get a chance to go on a FAM trip to Europe in February 2019 while others will be getting exciting prizes. Rail Europe launched STPSP in 2013 in association with Switzerland Tourism. “Every edition, we received around 600 registrations for STPSP. We also expect a similar response for Rail Expert Program,” he said.
