Mumbai: Enable Travel, India’s first digital platform for accessible travel, took home four awards at the Foxglove Awards 2018, held at Hard Rock Café, Worli, in Mumbai.

Enable Travel was recognised for unique campaigns addressing the travel needs of people with disabilities, winning a Gold and a Bronze in the ‘Best Digital Brand Video’ category and a Gold and a Silver in the ‘Brand Activation’ category.

On this achievement, Debolin Sen, Head, Enable Travel, said, “The intent of #CanDo and Travel Tales is that of changing mind-sets, of making people believe that everything was possible. These awards truly recognise our efforts in making travel barrier-free at the same time propagating the message of an inclusive society.”

Both campaigns, ‘#CanDo Diaries’ and ‘Travel Tales’ that picked up awards in ‘Best Digital Brand Video’ and ‘Brand Activation’ categories respectively were born out of the brand’s philosophy that disability should not hamper a person’s ability to travel, see the world and have similar experiences as able-bodied people.

While the idea behind ‘#CanDo Diaries’ was to capture the hassle-free travel experiences of the disabled, a narrative display of overwhelming emotions of people who once believed travel wasn’t possible for them, ‘Travel Tales’ is an extension of the CanDo spirit.

The event, organised in different cities, encouraged disabled people to come out of their homes and bring alive the community that doesn’t get the chance to meet so often to converge and share their travel stories with the world.

Since December 2017, Enable Travel has conducted activations across Mumbai and Bengaluru to take Travel Tales to more cities pan-India and make it a monthly affair.
