Mumbai: In an attempt to open Santa Monica to Indian travellers, New Delhi-based Sartha Global recently conducted a webinar, organised by TravelBiz Monitor. Sheema Vohra, Managing Director, Sartha Global Marketing, said, “We had a very good response for the first webinar conducted for Santa Monica Travel & Tourism. It helped us reach several tour operators pan India and introduce this new destination Santa Monica to them. The audience was also very interactive and we received several questions about the destination, some of which were addressed during the webinar as well.”

Vohra believes that webinars are an effective tool to promote new destinations. “Today, most of the travel trade in India is moving towards online platforms to get more information about destinations. Webinars become an effective platform especially for tourist offices of new destinations such as ours to reach this wide audience base and introduce the destination.”

“We received encouraging feedback from the travel trade who were glad to get information on this new destination. We also received other queries asking for the recommended number of nights to be spent in Santa Monica, requests for the e-brochures and information on Indian restaurants and high-end dining experiences in Santa Monica. These questions just reflect the interest the destination is generating among the travel trade and we welcome this positive outreach,” she added.
