Mumbai: With domestic and international airlines on new non-stop routes set to take off from Mumbai, it is happy times for travellers. Starting October, there will be seamless connectivity to six new global destinations in the USA, UK and Asia.

First timers operating from Mumbai include Air Italy and Uzbekistan Airways. The former will operate five times a week non-stop from Mumbai to Milan from October 31 while Uzbekistan Airways will have three direct flights a week between capital city Tashkent and Mumbai from October 30.

National carrier Air India and private airlines such as Jet Airways and GoAir will launch new flights to international destinations from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Air India, the only Indian carrier that flies directly to the USA will start direct flight services from Mumbai to Frankfurt.

Mumbai will also have direct connectivity to Phuket in Thailand and Male in Maldives. Starting November 5, Jet Airways will connect Mumbai to Manchester in the UK with five-times a week flight services
