Abu Dhabi: Experience Hub, the trade and promotion arm of Yas Island Abu Dhabi, participated at the South Asian Travel and Trade Exhibition (SATTE) that took place from January 16 to 18 in Delhi, India.
Promoting Yas Island Abu Dhabi as a one-of-a-kind destination for UAE-bound holidaymakers, Experience Hub highlighted many of the island’s award-winning attractions while underscoring collaboration opportunities for travel companies in the South Asian market.
Marina Cipriano, General Manager of Experience Hub said, “We are deeply invested in India, which, at a 20 per cent year-on-year growth rate, is one of our fastest growing markets for Yas Island. SATTE 2019 was the perfect platform for us to further engage and strengthen our relationships with existing travel partners, while also expanding our network. Working hand-in-hand with India’s travel experts allows us to deliver best-in-class experiences, and ensure that we can provide Indian travellers visiting Yas Island Abu Dhabi with unrivalled entertainment value.”
Following its launch in January 2018, Experience Hub demonstrated its commitment to the Indian market by expanding its presence in the country, with the establishment of key offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. After the strategic recruitment of a dedicated team for South India, Experience Hub succeeded in creating a growing network of agents and travel operators based in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Cochin. Furthermore, Experience Hub embarked on several roadshows and events in India, alongside the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways, in an effort to further understand the particular needs of Indian travellers and stay connected with the market’s key players.
2018 also saw the launch of Experience Hub’s trade portal, providing a new platform to engage with its partners. The portal provides direct access to holiday packages and tickets to Yas Island attractions at exclusive rates, among other services, keeping partners in the know about the latest experiences and opportunities to enrich their offering to their travellers. Since the launch, Experience Hub has successfully on-boarded a large number of partners across India, extending its reach to cities including Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata, Jaipur and Chandigarh, with many more expected in the next few months.
The increasingly popular Yas Island Abu Dhabi is home to an incredible array of award-winning leisure attractions including three iconic theme parks Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld, in addition to Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi’s largest shopping mall, a remarkable links golf-course, a marina, a world-class motorsports track, as well as a diverse range of hospitality offering, and 165 dining experiences that cater to all dietary preferences. Yas Island’s yearly line-up of more than 400 events includes international shows, sporting events, family festivals as well as cultural celebrations including the Festival of Lights, celebrating Diwali around the Island’s main attractions.
Cipriano continued, “There’s always something new happening on Yas Island – the destination continues to expand its offering of world-class attractions to deliver leisure experiences that are truly unmatched anywhere else. We are confident that Yas Island’s popularity in the Indian market will continue to grow immensely, particularly with the nine million Indians expected to travel to the GCC by 2020. With the support of our key partner, the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, we are committed to making Abu Dhabi one of the region’s foremost tourism destinations, driving higher visitation and longer stays in the nation’s capital.”
