Wattens: On Thursday, August 8, 2019, Swarovski Kristallwelten (Swarovski Crystal Worlds) welcomed its 15 millionth visitor since it opened in 1995. The honored guests were Darshana RaykarandAchyut Hegde from Bangalore in India. In addition to Austria, Germany, and Italy, India has become one of the most important countries of origin in the crystalline world of wonder. Since its inauguration in 1995, Swarovski Crystal Worlds has become one of Austria’s most frequently visited attractions.

Darshana Raykarand Achyut Hegde could hardly believe it when they were welcomed in the entrance area of Swarovski Crystal Worlds by artists from Circus Roncalli together with Markus Langes-Swarovski (Member of the Swarovski Executive Board), Carla Rumler (Cultural Director Swarovski and Curator of Swarovski Crystal Worlds) and Stefan Isser (Managing Director of D. Swarovski Tourism Services GmbH) and as the 15 millionth visitors. The acrobats, artists, and illusionists that are guests during July and August for the “Summer in the Giant” program presented the surprised special guests a voucher for shopping at the Swarovski Kristallwelten Store. Afterwards, the couple received an exclusive tour through the realm of the Giant that gave them some very special insights into this unique place of fantasy. “Swarovski Crystal Worlds was a fixed point on our trip through Austria. The fact that we have now been honored as the 15 millionth visitors makes our stay here in Wattens an unforgettable event,” said Darshana Raykar, surprised.

Swarovski Crystal Worlds is a tourist attraction that combines art with lifestyle and Austrian traditions with an internationally successful concept for tourism. “15 million visitors from over 60 countries demonstrate the fascinating pull that Swarovski Crystal Worlds still has, making it the most international place in Tyrol since 1995,” Managing Director Stefan Isser is pleased to say. Carla Rumler adds: “We are proud that Swarovski Crystal Worlds, with its continuous courage to change and create something new, attracts so many enthusiastic guests from all around the world.”
