DRMumbai: Guideline Travels in association with Dream Cruises organised Dream Cruises Cricket Cup recently at NSCI Astro Turf. The format was unique because the teams, instead of representing individual organisations, were composed of players from various companies and included both men and women players. “We chose not to pit organisation teams against each other and in fact created this unique format to ensure greater camaraderie and team spirit among the travel fraternity,” said Pradeep Saboo, Chairman and MD, Guideline Travels.
Eight teams were constituted based on the response from the industry: Aero SuperStars – Airline Team; MTF Kings – Mumbai Travel Fraternity; MATA Champions – Marwari Association of Travel Agents; Holiday Makers – Tour Operators; TAAI & TAFI Tigers; Nashik Titans (TAAN); UTEN Stars and Dream Brigade – Dream Cruises Travel Partners.
There were also side games organized to keep the spirits high and to involve each member of a team. The whole event was based on earning as many Dream points as possible through the cricket matches and side games to proceed to the semi finals stage from where on it was a knock out format.
The finalists were Holiday Makers and MTF Kings. Holiday Makers lifted the cup.
