Mumbai: Macao is fast becoming Asia’s favourite city, best known for being the city of duality and blended mix of Portuguese and Chinese culture. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Macao Special Administrative Region, Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) hosted a celebratory event for the travel fraternity on Thursday, December 19, 2019 in Mumbai to thank them for all the support they have received over the years. The event helped enhance further the partnership between MGTO and travel trade and promote Macao as a preferred destination among Indian travellers.
The event began with some videos and presentations showcasing the new attractions and products in Macao to the guests. Engaging the guests further with the entertainment quotient were other unique activities deeply rooted in tradition; the incredible Lion and Carnival dance performances.
Designated as the UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, the event also saw guests savoring Macao’s famous Macanese cuisine with the specially curated Macanese Signature Delicacies such as African Chicken, Macanese Minchi, Dim sums, and Egg tarts. .. In attendance was an interesting visitor at the event – the official mascot of Macao Tourism – MAK MAK, and a selfie corner – an engaging 20th Anniversary celebration photo booth was installed to add on to a personalized experience for the guests for the evening.
