Mumbai: The Westin Mumbai Garden City has appointment Saurabh Chowdhury as Director of Sales and Marketing. During a remarkable career that spans over a decade, Saurabh has spent the last two years working with the Hotel as the Director of Sales. With a professional yet friendly work ethic, he is known to lead his team by example while ensuring exceptional client service from him and his team.

In his new role, Saurabh will delve deeper into understanding the client base, devise and implement strategic plans to achieve maximum revenue, promotional coverage and marketing opportunities for the hotel. He will maintain and promote an environment of teamwork with effective and clear communication amongst the staff.

Prior to joining The Westin Mumbai Garden City, Saurabh worked at The Renaissance Marriott Mumbai Convention Center Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments, where he lead the team in generating FIT and MICE for all 28 Pan India properties. His previous work experience includes an assignment with The Leela Hotels and Resorts.

He started his career in 2006 at Grand Hyatt Mumbai, where he demonstrated an astute sense of salesmanship, strong business development and prospecting ability. He has also successfully managed the multicultural and multilingual client base of the Mumbai market.

He is a graduate from the Dr. D Y Patil College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Mumbai. Besides being an effective and successful sales and marketing professional, Saurabh is highly skilled at computer applications. He remains essentially a people’s person and a gifted and compelling communicator.
