Mumbai: After successfully completing tourism roadshows in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, UAE organised an exclusive roadshow called ‘Visit UAE’ at St. Regis, Mumbai. The Ministry of Economy, represented by the National Tourism Programme and accompanied by the UAE delegation, concluded its 3-city roadshow series in Mumbai — the city that sees the maximum number of tourists visiting the UAE every year. In Mumbai, Dr. Ahmed Al Banna, UAE’s Ambassador to India, said, “The India-UAE foreign trade is valued at $53 billion and the UAE is India’s third largest trading partner after China and the USA. Tourism has been a major economic activity and the Indian diaspora is increasingly becoming an integral part of this.”

The ‘Visit UAE’ roadshow saw a large delegation, including tourism officials, leading airlines and senior members from the UAE’s tourism and hospitality industry. Local tourism departments, including Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi; Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Dubai; Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, Sharjah; Tourism Development Department, Ajman; Tourism Development Authority, Ras Al Khaimah; Tourism and Antiquities Authority, Fujairah, Dubai Police and Dubai Health Authority. Abdulla Saleh Al Hammadi, Director, National Tourism Programme, also spoke. The India roadshow was managed by White Sands Tours and Travel led by Sunny Augustine.
