Mumbai: Benjamin Smith has been selected by Air France-KLM as its next chief executive.  He is currently serving as Chief Operating Officer of Air Canada and has played a major role with the company over the last two decades. He becomes the first overseas leader of Air France-KLM.

He will begin his new role on September 30th. Anne-Marie Couderc, non-executive chairman of Air France-KLM, said, “The arrival of Benjamin Smith is excellent news for the group. He is a world-renowned leader in the airline sector who successfully transformed Air Canada.”
