New Delhi: Turkey won the award for Favourite Country at the eighth edition of Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards. It was hosted by Chitrangada Singh and held at The Lodhi, New Delhi in November. The Readers’ Travel Awards are chosen through a readers’ voting process spanning two months sans any nominations and recognises the best in the travel industry across hotels, destinations, airlines, spas, websites, apps, cruise lines and more.
Divia Thani, Editor, Condé Nast Traveller India said, “Year after year, we have seen the participation and enthusiasm of our Condé Nast Traveller readers’ voter base increase significantly. Our readers form India’s most discerning travellers, the kind that set the travel trends. The Readers’ Travel Awards are a barometer of what the discerning, affluent Indian traveller looks for and appreciates when he or she travels. It also puts into perspective what tourism boards, hotels, airlines and other travel companies should focus on to attract this audience and helps them identify and cater to new trends. For us at Condé Nast Traveller India, it is an honour to announce the results and felicitate the winners in the presence of the creme de la creme of the travel and hospitality industry.”
