New Delhi: GoldSeat, a first-of-its-kind licensed on-the-go offline entertainment travel service provider introduced a new service line that adds safety, control and live features under flagship of ‘GoldLiv’. With its primary focus on providing entertainment and multi-network high-speed Wi-Fi, GoldSeat conceptualised a connected environment on the bus.

Commenting on their new solutions, Gaurav Kapahi, Founder and CEO, GoldSeat said, “A passenger’s safety should be a bus operator’s responsibility and GoldSeat’s ‘Connected Bus’ framework called ‘GoldLiv’ ensures that every passenger has a safe journey. This solution is not only for the interests of the passengers but for the operators, as it keeps them informed about any unusual activity. GoldSeat aims at establishing a pan India network to become the leader in the bus segment and also to develop a connected travel experience.”

The platform lets the passengers’ stream content and internet, and also allows the operators to have virtual access inside the bus with the support of live cameras and telematics. In addition, the platform has an integrated ‘Passenger Information System’ that keeps passengers abreast with information such as Destination ETAs, Arrival Announcements, Weather Updates, Breaking News and What’s Playing on GoldSeat along with a live cockpit view of the bus.

While commenting on the technology behind GoldLiv, Nishchal Khetarpal, Co-Founder, GoldSeat mentioned, “GoldLiv virtually puts the travel operator inside the bus and gives him full control of the bus, apart from playing the key role of keeping our passengers informed and entertained during their travel. GoldLiv is beyond just cameras and GPS. At the core, it is a complex technology that can enable and integrate a host of features for, what we call, The Future Travel.”

GoldLiv night vision cameras could carry a recording of up to 30 days and be accessed remotely by the travel operator. Apart from location tracking, the platform triggers automatic alerts on the bus ETA, Over Speeding and Off-routes. In an adverse situation, the travel and tour operator also has the ability to remotely immobilise the bus. GoldSeat also sets up a monitoring station for large scale travel operators.
