Mumbai: V.R. Costa Brava, a destination management company specializing in the Costa Brava region of Spain hosted their maiden networking event for the travel trade fraternity in Mumbai on September 27 at Su Casa, Bandra. The idea was to introduce the company’s offerings and highlight its USPs among key tour operators, up-market leisure agents and media personnel with an aim to enhance commercial ties with the industry. The event commenced with a presentation by the organization’s Founder Namrata Malu leading to an interactive session followed by a networking evening over cocktails.

Commenting on the event, Namrata Malu, CEO, V.R. Costa Brava said, “We commenced with a plan to establish a high quality wine-making company and purchased a vineyard in the Costa Brava region of Spain. However, the glorious beauty of the place steered us to go beyond wine production and launch a destination management enterprise thereby creating V.R. Costa Brava, with a vision to provide immersive local and bespoke experiences that have a highly personalized approach for the discerning travellers in India. Our expertise is vast to include organizing weddings and events, itineraries for MICE groups along with offering accommodation and luxury concierge services not just in Costa Brava but also Barcelona. From staying in a castle of the medieval era, sipping on wines on a hot air balloon, road trips in rare vintage cars, Michelin Star dining to skydiving with stunning views of mountain tops and pristine beaches, our vacations personify luxury and exclusivity”.

Costa Brava is the coastal area which runs all the way from just above the city of Barcelona to the French border. It’s characterized by charming towns and villages, rugged rocky coastlines, mountainous peaks and is home to some of the country’s best beaches, bays and inlets. Known for its gastronomy, Costa Brava has an impressive concentration of world-renowned restaurants and chefs who either have roots or have begun their careers in Catalonia. The region is a food lover’s paradise from fancy haute-cuisine restaurants, family-run eateries and market-style meals made of fresh produce sourced locally. Alternatively, travellers looking for undiscovered wine regions make their way to Emporda in Costa Brava.

Less than two hours by road from Barcelona, Costa Brava is a year-round holiday destination with June to August being the busiest months for tourism while December to February have mild winters making it ideal for Indian tourists.
