Mumbai: Home of All Right, Jamaica, brings to you the summer festivals, starting July. The preview includes an exciting line-up of events like food festivals, Reggae concerts and fashion shows that are taking place in different parts of the nation. Jamaican summer is jam-packed with live music, family-friendly entertainment, and festivals that let tourists experience, feel and explore Jamaica like never before.

The festivities kick-start in Kingston, with ‘International Reggae Day’, a 24-hour festival starting July 1, highlighting the history of music and the influence that reggae culture has on Jamaican music. The festivities will be on till the ‘Reggae Sumfest’, a premier festival celebrated in Montego Bay, which showcases the island’s indigenous reggae music and also promotes Jamaica as a prime summer destination. Starting from July 15, the festival, which is in its 26th year, will conclude on July 22. Artist line up this year includes Popcaan, Aidonia, Bounty killer, Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley and Beres Hammond to name a few.

After witnessing the world of Reggae in all its glory, comes the ‘Jamaica Festival’ to be held from July 31 to August 6 in Kingston and Montego Bay. The Float Parade and Grand Gala are sure to revitalise and engender the nostalgic Independence celebrations, taking you back and beyond to experience the culture of the nation. Other activities are Mello – Go Roun’, Emancipation Vigils, World Reggae Dance Finals, National Thanksgiving Church Service, Augus Fair and Independence Street Dance. Then there is the passionate and infectious sounds of ‘Montego Bay Jerk Festival’, a one-day outdoor event, celebrated on August 1. This is a family-oriented outdoor festival, which is all about unique activities for children and offers special family entertainment packages, authentic Jamaican food and live music shows.
