Bulent Kocak, Director FBB Travel spoke enthusiastically about Turkey and showcased this exotic destination through couple of short films, which presented the beautiful sights and sounds of Turkey that an Indian traveller, who is short on time but wants to experience as much of the countries stunning scenery and fascinating history as possible can embark on.

Among the many interesting itineraries, Kocak wanted Indians to taste Turkey’s history and start exploring this destination with a 5 days tour of Istanbul, Diyarbakir and Mardin.

Through the short film, the Indian travel fraternity was taken through the famous destination of Mardin, better known as the city of Tolerance, located in the way of the Silk Route. Here, one could observe the amalgamation of all religion and existence of communal harmony between the Turk, Armenians, Arabs, and Syrians. The show-reel showcased other fascinating sites to be visited – the old city of Diyarbakır, which was famous for its historical buildings and Arab-style mosques; and the very popular Nevruz festival, which takes place in the month of March. The paradise of Rize, located in the eastern part of the Black Sea region is the star of alternative tourism, where mountains and sea meet the sky and is surrounded by tea plantations; and the music of the bagpipers in the background will entice one’s senses to soak in its beautiful aura. The other site to reckon with is the scenic city of Trabzon, which entices one to enjoy its natural surroundings…here one can indulge either in hiking or paraglide through its beautiful vistas; and enjoy a bird’s view of its green and mountainous landscape.
