Mumbai: Cleartrip has launched a new 360-degree virtual tour for hotels listed on its online platform. With this feature, users on the platform can now get an panoramic view of rooms and suites prior to their travel. They can be assured of its quality and also validate all the advertised features of the hotel to take an informed decision. The content is optimized for mobile and is accessible on-the-go.

Following the soft launch of the 360-degree feature, many hotels that partnered with Cleartrip have seen considerably higher booking confirmations. They have also witnessed a growth rate of 100 per cent, year-on-year in terms of engagement.

Suman De, Director of Product – Accommodation, Activities and Platforms, said, “Over the years, we have observed that a majority of hotel customers use visual content to validate a particular hotel’s features, amenities, and reviews. Only when they are convinced that what they see is what they will get do they ultimately proceed to make a booking for that property.”
