Goa: Goa Tourism Development Corporation Limited’s (GTDC) monsoon trek is going to be irresistible this time as Savari waterfalls located in Netravali, Sanguem taluka in Goa, has an exquisite and enchanting landscape that will leave tourists spellbound.

Savari is a small hamlet in Netravali village of Sanguem. The place is named after the local specie of a tree called Bombax Ceiba, locally known as Savari, which is the only perennial waterfall in this group, the rest reduce to a trickle as the monsoon wanes.

One has to trek 3 km to reach Savari waterfalls situated in Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary. Transport arrangements have been made from Mapusa Residency at 7:30 am, from Paryatan Bhavan, Patto, Panjim at 8.15 am and from Margao at 9.00 am.

Interested trekkers are requested to carry along an extra pair of clothes, rainwear, trekking shoes, snacks and binoculars. Only fit individuals should join the trek. Smoking and consumption of alcohol will not be permitted. Registration fee is Rs. 800 (food inclusive). Vegetarian lunch will be provided.
